The latest issue of the District Newsletter can always be found by going to the District site and clicking on the Current Newsletter link. It downloads for you as a pdf. In the new issue just released, DG Alex reports on spending the month of August on Vancouver Island. It is well worth a look.

From the RI web site . . . . three items

Rotary has teamed up with Google to make nearly 100 years of The Rotarian available free online. Full-color, searchable scans of all issues of the magazine from 1959 to 2008 are now available through Google Books, with more issues to follow. Check it out.

In this item we see that RI is looking for cool photos of Rotary events, especially from Interactors, Rotaractors, and other youth program participants and alumni, to share with Rotarians around the world and to highlight in future issues of Interactive. You can see the photos that have been contributed or add your own by going to the Rotary Group on Flickr.

The Rotary World Peace Fellowships program makes a difference. A 2003-05 Rotary World Peace Fellowpeace fellow, says the program equipped him to help make the world a more peaceful, just, and sustainable place. The Rotary Foundation and its Rotary Centers for International Studies in peace and conflict resolution are supported by our contributions to the foundation.
